Sir. Jadegoke Adebonajo Badejo is a Legal Practitioner. He is the Principal Partner of Bonajo
Badejo & Co, a firm of Solicitors and Advocates based in Victoria Island Lagos with
branches in Surulere and Abuja. He was a National Scholar throughout his University years and graduated with a Bachelor in Laws from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1979. He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1980.
He also obtained a Masters Degree in Law at the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1982 with
specialization in Comparative Company Law among other courses. Between 1981 and 1987, he worked with the firm of Burke & Company, Lagos, a renowned firm of International Consultants in Patent, Trademarks, Copyrights, litigation and law relating to commercial transactions. He was Head of Chambers of Burke & Company between 1985 and 1987 when he set up Bonajo Badejo & Co.
He became a Notary Public in 1989 and has acted as Legal Consultant and Company Secretary to various companies in Nigeria, while fully engaged as a Solicitor and Advocate with appearances in all the Superior Courts of record on diverse commercial, corporate, family, probate, property laws among others.
He is a staunch member of the Methodist Church of Nigeria and until recently, the Legal Adviser to the Conference of the Methodist Church of Nigeria. He was knighted by the Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria as a Knight of John Wesley(KJW) in 2004 and he is currently the Chairman of MCN Properties and Investment Companies Limited. He is also one of the Conference Property advisers of Methodist Church of Nigeria and a member of the Council of Wesley University of Science and Technology Ondo (WUSTO). He became a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in the year 2010. He has delivered several academic and religious papers at various fori and he is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Joint Christian Cemetery Council.
